What?

The session aims to shed light on creative approaches to improve the environment for entrepreneurs and raise awareness on current issues in sustainable development in Europe . The session also aims to increase young people's citizenship and exchanges of ideas.

Why?

Teenagers interest in politics and the European Union (EU) is alarmingly low. For many, the EU is something that feels remote and irrelevant in their lives. The session aims to draw attention to include this issue. By experiencing the EU in a role play, young people can get a clearer picture of its function, structure and activity. Even more important is the fact that they are able to realize their capability to make an actual difference. Lastly, the session also serves as a forum where young people have the opportunity to be heard by decision makers which reduces the distance between the young and the major social actors.

Who?

Young people's involvement and participation in the community is invaluable. Today's youth i tomorrow's leaders, and by an early introduction to this type of activities!
The regional session in Stockholm 2012 wishes gather young people from all over Stockholm and raise awareness of social issues for high school students who have the desire, but perhaps not yet been offered the opportunity, to influence our society.

What is EYP?

EYP is a politically and religiously independent organization, founded in 1987 in order to give teenagers across Europe the opportunity to meet and discuss current issues of common interest. EYP provides a forum for an open and unprejudiced debate that aims to boost exchanges between the youth of Europe, creating interest in political issues as well as adding a European dimension in education at secondary level.
